Additional 50% Medicare Rebate (MM2 and Above)
Patients living in MM2–MM7 areas may qualify for a 50% higher Medicare rebate under rural telehealth incentives.
What is MMM?
MMM (Modified Monash Model) classifies Australian locations by remoteness:
- MM1: Major cities
- MM2–MM7: Rural, remote, and very remote
- MM7: Most remote category
Greater remoteness = higher Medicare support for telehealth psychiatry.
